I'm not very good at smiling, particularly when it comes to smiling for photographs. It's not that I'm incapable of smiling properly, it's just that I can't do so without constant rehearsal. It's something I have to be dilligent about, which means being careful not to pass any mirror or reflective surface without taking the opportunity to improve. I have to do this. Because if I don't, and someone asks to have their photo taken with me, chances are things won't turn out well. Things will be disasterous....

I try not to smile in pictures, because it makes me look like an idiot. I also have to take off my glasses. I think they normally look fine, but there's something about being in a photo that messes them up. To avoid this, I now tend to look off into space for pictures. It makes me look thoughtful.

I've tried the 'don't smile' tactic. And I find it makes me look too insidious.

I'm somehow able to mask this truth with a goofy smile.
