Champagne for everyone! Go ahead, sip up. I know I have.
For those of you who might not have read today's L.A. Times:

As I suspected, they don't seem to have an extensive background check over at the Times. That, or there really is a Johann, age 7, attending Logan Street Elementary. In which case, he probably got his name announced over the intercom by the principal, who proudly read the joke during this morning's announcements. After which, it was declared "Johann" day, where everyone, staff and student body alike, took a moment to recognize this wonderful achievement. Johann certainly got a free ice cream sandwich and a kiss from the prettiest girl in school. And after all that, he probably came home to an L.A. Times kid's prize pack, complete with a t-shirt and commemorative copy of today's paper, signed by either Garfield (dipped paw print) , Marmaduke (dipped paw print), or Ziggy (hand-written). What a day for young Johann!
And I am left in the shadows, no praise for my efforts.
Johann, if you're out there, you owe me.
This just occurred to me, if there isn't a Johann, and a staff member of Logan Street Elementary did happen upon my sparkling gem, an investigation is no doubt underway.
And technically speaking, the joke was an excerpt from my previous blog posting. Therefore, my blog has been featured in the L.A. Times. Are there no worlds left to concur?
